Production Engineering Co-op

May 2018 • Harrodsburg, KY

What I liked

The work environment was friendly. I was introduced to a variety of projects and got to work with interesting people.

What I wish was different

There is a steep learning curve to the process flow used on a daily basis. It would have been helpful to be given a crash course in automotive industry terminology. I also wish I had been given more opportunities in line with my skillset.

Advice

Look for housing options in Danville, KY. There's lots of affordable houses and apartments to rent due to the proximity of Centre College, and Danville is only a 20 minute drive from Harrodsburg.

Production Engineer Co-op

January - July 2018 • Harrodsburg, KY

What I liked

I enjoyed being able to travel and learn different things about the group I was with. I learned a lot about injection mold and different processes in the industry. I got along with all of my coworkers or supervisors, and I felt very comfortable with all of them.

What I wish was different

There was a lot of paperwork to be expected, but some days I felt like I did not contribute anything. I wish there were less of those days.

Advice

Always be willing to take work, and be helpful!
