Environmental Engineering Intern

Summary

The Environmental Engineering intern will help ensure environmental compliance across various business groups, streamline work for our existing department, organize data into valuable tools to use in the future, participate in projects, and develop a broad experience within the environmental field for their own development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Environmental reporting and database management including but not limited to source testing, location summaries, Enablon support (Compliance Module), etc.
  • Field work at Food Plants and Mining & Manufacturing Facilities: this can include job shadowing and participation in air stack testing, groundwater sampling, sump monitoring, and various other field work.
  • Field work in Southeast Idaho: this can include various environmental monitoring (surface water, groundwater, soil, vegetation, fish) at the Don Plant, Conda Mine, Gay Mine, Smoky Canyon mine.
  • Environmental Records Management: this will include organizing files for facilities in preparation of final site activities and/or due diligence, environmental assessments, and other historical file management as needed.

Typical Education

Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college or university
