Kitchen Engineering Intern
Position Overview:
The Kitchen Engineering Intern position is a developmental role for individuals seeking real world project management experience in the Foodservice Equipment industry. This role will will support the Kitchen Engineering Team in:
- Assist with lab testing, field testing, rollout and implementation of new equipment to support new product introductions
- Maintenance of Equipment Portal and related documentation
- Providing insights towards continuous improvement with operational system and process improvements
This role reports directly to a Manager in Kitchen Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists the departmental Director or Managers to maximize the results of their associated projects by assisting in the completion or development of project management processes that include: development of project charters, detailed project time lines, success criteria, functional requirements, development of lab and field testing methodology, and project documentation
- Assists the departmental Director or Managers or cross functional team as needed in the management of operations, market tests, or national roll outs of assigned projects through the development of installation documentation, development of restaurant surveys, supplier time lines, and contractor activities
- Provide technical support as needed to cross functional departments, as Directed by the departmental Director or Managers, to ensure the successful completion of projects that support the Company's goals.
- Assist in maintaining Equipment Portal content

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree – working towards bachelor’s degree (Required)
- Strong interpersonal and planning/organizational skills (Required)
- Previous experience in the food service or related industry (Preferred)
- Proficient in a variety of software applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word (Required)
- Desire to learn about the design and development of operational systems (Required)
