Role Overview:

We are seeking a Sustainability & Energy Analyst to specialize in Green Building Certification. This role involves assessing buildings, preparing detailed reports and documentation, and providing expert advice on obtaining and improving building certifications such as BREEAM, LEED, fitwel, and WELL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Green Building Certification: Lead efforts in obtaining and maintaining green building certifications. This includes preparing comprehensive documentation, writing detailed reports, and advising on best practices for sustainable building.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess compliance with green building standards and collaborate with property teams. Site visits are expected to comprise 25-40% of the job, with all travel expenses covered and reimbursed by the company.
  • Client Interaction: Engage directly with clients and property management teams during on-site meetings to ensure alignment and collaboration on sustainability targets and standards.
  • Reporting and Strategy: Play a key role in the strategic planning of sustainability practices, ensuring that they meet current standards and contribute effectively to the client's overall ESG goals.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain accurate time tracking and project updates using tools like Everhour to ensure project delivery timelines are met.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles, particularly in sustainability consulting or related fields.
  • Strong capability in managing projects that require frequent on-site presence.
  • Familiarity with green building certification processes (e.g., BREEAM, LEED, fitwel, WELL).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment: 1 day work-from-home and 4 days on-site per week.
  • Must be a US citizen with work authorization. Please note, no sponsorship is available for this position.
