Sustainability Internship

Position Overview:

We are seeking highly motivated and passionate college students to join our team as Sustainability Interns for the summer. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various landscape and hardscape projects while learning about sustainable practices in landscaping. This internship offers valuable experience in the field and the chance to contribute to meaningful projects that promote environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation of landscape and hardscape projects using sustainable materials and techniques.
• Work collaboratively with the crew to ensure efficient and high-quality workmanship.
• Attend job sites daily, arrive punctually, and come prepared to contribute.
• Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Operate vehicles and equipment as needed, and assist in their maintenance.
• Uphold company values of sustainability and environmental responsibility in all tasks.
• Support outreach and engagement efforts to raise awareness about sustainability initiatives aimed at educating clients and the wider Pittsburgh community.

Qualifications:

• Passionate about sustainability and environmental conservation.
• Interest in sustainability, environmental conservation, or related fields.
• Strong work ethic, motivation, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Experience with landscaping, horticulture, or construction trade is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
