Open Position - Architectural Intern
The Jones Studio is looking for an architectural or interior
design intern with an interest in high-end residential
projects to join our team. This is a rare opportunity! The
ideal candidate is a self-motivated, creative and detail
oriented individual; a collaborative team player who wants
to grow and is willing to wear many hats. This job could
translate into a full time salaried role for the right
candidate.
DUTIES
Create project documentation in CAD under team
leader supervision; including plans, elevations, and
schedules.
Assist with the production and delivery of high quality
presentation materials through project oriented
support - scanning, copying, formatting in Adobe
Suites, and administrative tasks in support of project
goals.
Responsible for assistance with the daily general
administrative processes including scheduling, client
communications, materials library and office
organization.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Candidate must have or be pursing a degree from an
accredited design or architecture school; graduate level
and those with prior work experience will be given
priority.
Passion for architecture and design as well as a desire
to grow within the role.
Strong proficiency in CAD or Revit (the company uses
AutoCAD) Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator,
InDesign); Excel and SketchUp; experience with
construction documentation preferred. Technical
aptitude test will be required prior to final hire.
Excellent communication + interpersonal skills and a
willingness to adapt to the daily needs of the design
team.
