POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Technical Designer reports to the Design Manager.
- Located in Cleveland, OH or Columbus, OH
- Full-Time
- Hybrid
The Designer assists and provides drawing support to Designers & Project Managers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the guidance of Designers & Project Managers generate documents/drawings to submit for construction/bidding/installation purposes.
- Obtain field dimensions when needed.
- Attend job meetings with Designer or Project Manager when necessary.
- Learn preferred vendors.
- Assist in specifying and protecting jobs.
- Expected to grow capabilities to perform position with greater efficiency annually.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner that fosters positive relations with customers, vendors, and internal company personnel.
- Expand their knowledge of other jobs within the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Strong relationship building skills with customers, general contractors, architects, manufacturers and vendors, and other trades on job sites.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Highly motivated and self-directed.
- Basic working knowledge of general construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
- Excellent selling and presentation skills.
- Highly creative.
- Knowledge of foodservice industry.
- Knowledge of Revit.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred, or equivalent Military or practical experience.
- 1 year or more of entry level or internship experience in an Interior Design, Architectural, Engineering, or Construction related field.
- Computer-Aided Design Certificate
- Basic architectural and construction knowledge
- Must complete CFSP Test within first 3 years of employment
- Previous foodservice industry experience preferred.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
