Job Description: The Formulation Management Assistant at Allen Flavors, Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of formula verification and implementation processes. This position involves coordinating communication between the laboratory and production environments to facilitate seamless transitions and meet production deadlines.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Formula Verification: Responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of formulas before they are implemented in the live production system. This involves verifying data accuracy, calculations, and other relevant parameters.

Scale-Up Verification: Ensures that formulas successfully transition from development to production, ensuring consistency and quality in the manufacturing process.

Data Entry and Calculation: Ensures that all data is entered correctly and calculations are accurate, possibly using company-wide systems to facilitate communication between departments.

Formula Setup Checks: Performs checks to ensure that formulas are correctly set up in various company systems to facilitate seamless communication and operations across departments.

Documentation Management: Confirms that all necessary documentation for formulas is complete and accurate before activation, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal standards.

Specification and Version Control: Verifies that any changes to specifications or versions of formulas are implemented correctly and that all compliance requirements are met.

Change Control Oversight: Follows up on change control sign-offs to ensure timely approval from all relevant departments.

Pack Size Creation: Creates pack sizes as needed for customer service, ensuring that products meet customer requirements.

Formula Maintenance: Performs maintenance on formulas as instructed, likely to address issues or implement improvements.

Data Retrieval: Utilizes various methods to retrieve relevant data to support production needs, possibly involving analysis of production metrics or quality control data.

Interdepartmental Communication: Develops and maintains strong communication with other departments involved in the production process to ensure smooth operations.

Compliance with Certified Programs: Understands and implements company-certified programs related to food safety, quality, and defense, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations.

Other Duties: Assists with other duties assigned by management, reflecting flexibility and adaptability within the role.

Overall, this position involves ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of formula management processes within a manufacturing or production environment, while also facilitating communication and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Zero (0) to three (3) years of related job experience required; experience in the Food and Beverage Industry is a plus.
• Skills:
• Excellent math skills.
• High level of computer proficiency, preferably in Excel, GP, Vicinity, CRM, and Oracle.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, record-keeping, and organization.
• Proficient problem-solving ability.
• Demonstrates personal initiative and responsibility.
• Proficient time management skills, including prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
