Design Engineer I

Roaring Fork Engineering (RFE) is seeking a Design Engineer I to join our team in Carbondale. The position is focused on land development, municipal infrastructure, transportation, water/wastewater, and water resource engineering. 

Typical Responsibilities

• Assisting in the design of assigned civil engineering projects.
• Continue to develop your technical (e.g. Civil 3D, GIS, Infowater Pro, etc.) skills.
• Contributing to the production of plans and specifications.
• Collaborating with other disciplines as needed.
• Providing support to the project manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• EIT certification.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication.
• 1 year experience or master’s degree in engineering or related field.

Additional Desired Skills

• 2 years' experience, preferably in a consultant's office.
• Familiarity with water resource management, including stormwater management, low impact design, utility design, municipal water supply, and irrigation design.
• Experience or familiarity in the Roaring Fork Valley.
