JOB SUMMARY & KEY OBJECTIVES:

Analyze the thermal process of all production lines and types of products in order to determine if any changes should be made.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with production to build a schedule for season so no critical lines or products are missed
  • Work with maintenance department and production to determine the best way to insert test cans into each line
  • Take measurements including placing the device in an approved can, following each can through the system, noting important times, and retrieving the cans/device
  • Analyze data and present it in an easy-to-understand way
  • Provide suggestions

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERN

  • Intern will be stationed in Northwood but would be expected to be able to drive to Pemberville on a regular basis and to Ottawa occasionally.
  • Start of Internship:  End of July 2024
  • End of Internship:  End of tomato season (approximately Mid-October)
  • Hours per week:  10 – 30 depending on availability.  Saturday work may be required.

  • Lifting requirements:
    • Will regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
    • Will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Working toward Quality or Engineering Degree
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
