Entry Level Landscape Architect

The Job: Planning Design Studio is seeking a landscape designer to join our firm. We are an intentionally St. Louis based design practice focused on improving the communities we work in by creating world class outdoor places. Our firm’s culture emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, professional growth and personal expression. Our studio space, specifically designed by us, is in Maplewood, Missouri, a historic suburb of St. Louis which is home to the nation’s first Green Dining District, and vibrant independent shops that create an exciting and livable community.

The Requirements: We need people with a well-rounded grasp of the fundamentals of landscape architecture and with a strong desire to be involved in projects that move from idea to reality. Technical knowledge and excellent organizational skills are important, as well as being a collaborator and someone who really loves working in teams.

Entry Level Landscape Architect Graduate applicants should be recent graduates with a degree from an accredited landscape architecture program. For this position, we are looking for the following skills, knowledge and qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, planning, design, and technical skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Office, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Initiative-taker that enjoys a fast-paced work environment that can contribute to achieving successful project completion.

The position is for full-time employment (40 hours per week).
