Landscape Architect Intern
Full-time, paid landscape design internship positions are available throughout the year for driven landscape architecture students that are ready to grow their knowledge and professionalism in a real working environment.
Our team has made a positive impact on land use decisions for over 40 years in many different sectors of the field of landscape architecture. Our diverse portfolio includes master planned communities, commercial/industrial facilities, education, healthcare, public open spaces, urban design, parks and natural areas.
Our project managers and landscape designers offer a meaningful mentorship experience during your internship. While we generally operate on a five-day work week, we have the flexibility and ability to work with many different student scenarios.
Qualifications:
Interest in contributing to site planning, urban design, and landscape design with graphic and technical production.
Working knowledge of Midwest plant species utilized in the urban environment, natural area restoration, and green infrastructure.
Familiarity with the following software programs: Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, Lumion, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Word, and/or Excel
In the process of receiving a Landscape Architecture Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree)
Responsibilities
Assist project managers in solving complex problems and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
Contribute to design products related to land planning, urban design, mixed-use residential development, streetscapes, municipal planning, public infrastructure design, parks, and many other design assignments.
Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as GRWA’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
