Account Manager

Account Manager - Hybrid - (on campus a few days per month after initial training).

Our continued success and dedication to our clients has created a need for a full-time Account Manager.  We specialize in finding cutting solutions to problems that require expert, engineered assistance and custom blade parts designed to our client’s exact specification.  We currently have thousands of products and solutions to assist with our clients evolving needs.  Your project involvement may include various diverse industries including food, recycling, packaging or medical. Major Responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining B2B relationships.  Providing excellent service to new and current customers.
  • Prospecting for new customers. We’ll give you the leads.  You’ll be expected to contact businesses, overcome objections and convert those leads to sales.
  • Works with Purchasing/Resale staff to follow up on vendor delivery dates and product information.
  • Effectively communicating our products and services to our customers.
  • Negotiating and closing sales.
  • Maintaining a positive, professional and goal driven attitude.
  • Telephone sales work, both outbound and inbound.
  • Records all relevant customer contact into Customer Relationship Management Database.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of applicable experience
  • Mechanical aptitude as we sell industrial blade products.  Ability to read blue prints and take measurements preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel & Outlook.  Knowledge of SAGE software systems is a plus.
  • Experience selling to or through industrial distributors and end users preferred.
  • Developed ability/strategy to overcome customer resistance and objections to buying.
  • Prospecting experience a plus.
  • Limited travel (less than 10%) may be required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer Focused individual with a high level of initiative.
