YCS Program Coordinator
Balance Autism, a leading provider of autism services in Iowa, is looking for a Program Coordinator to join our Youth Community Services team in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Responsibilities are performed personally and implemented alongside the leadership team to direct care staff to ensure appropriate programing for persons served.
What You'll Do:
- Ensure that the health and safety needs of the person(s) served are met
- Focus every day on supporting people with autism as they gain higher levels of independence, including skills related to: hygiene, personal care, building social relationships and networks, communication, and community involvement as needed
- Serve as a contact for family/guardians and outside agency communications, providing follow up to concerns in a timely manner and keeping ongoing record of all such contacts
- Coordinates, trains, and evaluates the employee running the programming
- Leads in developing and monitoring personalized programs, autism specific strategies, and innovative solutions in order to generate successful outcomes for individuals on caseload
- Obtains information for reports to ensure proper management of areas of responsibility

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's or Associates degree with equivalent experience in related field including direct care experience or internship in Human Services
- Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
- Ability to serve on-call and help provide staff coverage for sites on caseload as needed
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Microsoft Office Proficient
