The Facilities Engineering Team is seeking a motivated, Facilities Engineering Intern to provide support to the local Facilities Engineering Group.  The position is located at ADI’s Camas, Washington semiconductor manufacturing facility.   The Facilities Engineering Team is involved in all aspects of the semiconductor FAB infrastructure & support.  We are responsible for operation and engineer for systems such as: ultrapure water, high purity gases, wastewater treatment, bulk chemical delivery systems, FAB cleanroom HVAC, system instrumentation and controls, and electrical power distribution among others.  The successful candidate will be applying engineering principles to these various systems to solve daily operating issues and well as engage capital project construction and manufacturing tool install projects.  The Facilities Department operates on a 24x7 basis and consists of 18 members, of which 13 are Operations Technicians and five are Facilities Engineers.  You will be working directly with more experienced Facilities Engineers for assigned projects as well as interfacing with our experienced facilities operations technicians.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Data collection and engineering analysis for a wide variety of facilities systems.
  • Applying engineering principles to assisting with the solution of daily operations issues with a wide variety of facilities/infrastructure issues
  • Working with maintenance and construction contractors in multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architectural) to achieve project or operations goals.
Minimum qualifications

  • Education: Currently enrolled in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s/ Degree Program as a junior or senior or graduate student in Master’s degree program
Other Requirements/ qualifications

  • A US Department of Homeland Security background check is required for this position.
  • Physical Demand for this position includes periods of standing, bending & crouching, & on occasion lifting up to 50lbs.
