Position Purpose:
This Manufacturing Engineering position is focused on continuous improvement and maintenance of assembly and packaging processes. Candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining tooling designs, packaging designs and process instructions. Candidate will work closely with our manufacturing facilities to achieve continuous improvement. Candidate will work closely with Product Engineering to ensure new product designs fit appropriately into our assembly and packaging processes.

Essential Functions:
  1. Develop returnable and disposable packaging designs.
  2. Develop tooling designs for assembly and packaging processes.
  3. Develop step by step instructions for assembly and packaging processes.
  4. Facilitate periodic review meetings with assembly plants.
  5. Assist Project Manager with manufacturing plans of new products.

Education and Training:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrates excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • 3D modeling software (Creo preferred).
 
Physical Demands:
  • Travel (10%).
  • Ability to use a hoist to lift parts up to 2,000 LB.
 
Environmental Conditions:
  • Able to temporarily work in a plant environment (weld smoke, paint fumes, loud machines) for projects.
 
Behavioral Traits:
  • Able to work closely with other departments for problem solving and planning.
