Beam Processing Center Ops Leader

Summary/Objective:
The position of Operations/Robotic Leader of the BPC will assume roles of overseeing the daily operations at our BPC location while collaborating with the engineering, production, maintenance and leadership teams. 
Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with developers, engineers, project managers, and maintenance to understand the requirements and scope of the projects at the Beam Processing Center
  2. Recommends, develops, and implements enhancements and improvements to increase production volume or precision in high throughput operations
  3. Assist with cost estimates and project calculations for anything at the Beam Processing Center
  4. Lead/Develop the operational leaders at the Beam Processing Center by developing strategies to reach the success needed in our four pillars as a Company.
  5. Develop Expectations and Standards that need to be met by your leaders, set up metrics to tell if winning overall.
  6. Building and Driving Continuous Improvement for all departments at the Beam Processing Center
Working Conditions:
  1. Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  2. May sit for several hours at a time.
  3. Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  4. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.
  5. Working in the plant with weld testing fixtures, robotics, and other parts of the automation.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree required
  2. Engineering Degree preferred
  3. At least 5 years leadership in a technical manufacturing environment required

Supervisory Responsibility:
This role does have supervisory responsibility that comes with it, you will have direct reports that you will be leading and developing daily.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.
Travel:
Travel will be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  1. Manufacturing/industry experience.
  2. Leadership experience.
  3. Robotic Welding Experience
  4. Engineering Experience
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
Must be able to pass EVerify.
