Electronic Test Technician
Element has an opportunity for an Electronic Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role you will be a part of our operations team, the primary function of the Electronic Test Technician is conducting evaluations (setup, measure, and document results) on a wide variety of products while interfacing with a wide array of engineers and regulatory agencies.
Requirements:
- Responsible for conducting a variety of tests which encompass setting up and testing, as directed in written and verbal instructions, in accordance with applicable standards, and documenting the testing process and outcome
- Understands customer orders and how to properly follow laboratory technical procedures and test specifications
- Ensures that tests are performed exactly according to published specifications unless informed otherwise by supervisor or technical department manager
- Assembles appropriate tools and test equipment, and follows written specifications necessary for the proper performance of the test
- Sets up and performs emissions, immunity, and susceptibility tests as directed in accordance with applicable industry and company standards
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associates degree in electronics or plus one to two years of electronics testing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of basic principles of electrical and electronic theory
- Working knowledge of RF test equipment and familiarity with a wide variety of test equipment is desired
- Experience in interpreting testing procedures and requirements along with read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing required
- Ability to take testing projects from initial set up to completion and ready for report writing
