Commercial Rotational Trainee (Sales)
Job Highlights
- Complete at least 6-12 month rotation throughout various Business Units and Commercial related functions within those Business Units, which may include sales, customer service, marketing support, inventory management, forecasting, and technical lab support , if appropriate, in an effort to gain an extensive and well-rounded knowledge base of LANXESS’ business and product lines before progression into a Commercial role, either internal or external, based on the company needs.
- Shadow seasoned professionals in both internal and external roles. Shadowing of sales representatives will include accompanying colleagues on customer visits.
- Assignment to special projects and/or local customers. This may include temporary relocation to a LANXESS facility to support the project during the rotation
- Create a short presentation on the results and experience to Senior Managers in the final phase of the rotation
- Upon successful completion of at least 6-8 months rotation, be assigned a commercial role (internal or external) within a business unit as available and dictated by business needs
Requirements
- B.A./B.S. degree in Business or Chemical Engineer
- Desire a career in a “commercial” role in the specialty chemical industry. Some travel is expected.
- Possess excellent listening and communication skills, the ability to make presentations, planning and organizational skills.
- Possess a willingness to relocate for a short period of time
