Nanoelectronic Device Scientist

Position Summary
Azimuth Corporation is looking for a Nanoelectronic Device Scientist with a demonstrated record of scientific contribution in fields related to contact and interface engineering, heterogeneous materials integration, nanofabrication, device characterization, and/or micro/nanoelectronic systems engineering.
Responsibilities
  • Help to identify challenges and opportunities in the use of emerging electronic materials such as ultrawide bandgap semiconductors (eg, Ga2O3, AlGaN), two dimensional materials (eg, MoS2, Ti3C2, FeB2), and multiferroics (eg, FeBO3, Ni-Zn ferrites, AlScN, BaTiO3). 
  • The device scientist will work closely with materials scientists within the Nanoelectronics Branch of the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL/RXAN) to bridge the technical gap between new materials development and real-world applications. 
Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently across multiple projects and contribute to the writing of peer-reviewed publications as well as technology demonstrations
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Clearance Required: Applicants selected will be subject to a security clearance check and/or a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
