Formulations Engineer Intern
Key areas of learning:
- Work with development engineers to learn basic alloy design of metal cored and flux cored wires and to conduct studies & tests for internal validation
- Will be trained to operate welding and test equipment as needed. Ability to conduct tests and validate with hands-on welding can be expected
- Work towards developing reproducible test parameters for testing hot cracking of weld metal
- Conduct weld metal hot cracking testing on existing and new filler metal designs.
- Intern will work with cross functional internal team members including engineers, technicians, and marketing personnel
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science Engineering, Welding Engineering or related Engineering field
- Must be classified as a Junior or Senior for 2023-2024 academic year
- Open to MS candidates in similar fields
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Comfortability working in teams
- Strong prioritization & organization skills (80/20!)
