Field Service Tech  

 

Ronan Engineering Company, a global manufacturing of instrumentation for process 

control in multiple markets such as Pulp & Paper, Steel, Chemical, Refinery, Glass, Food, 

Mining, Agriculture, Pharmaceutical, and others, has an excellent opportunity for a Field 

Service Engineer to be located in Florence, KY area to cover the domestic USA and some 

International travel.  

 

Key Responsibilities and Needed Skills: 

 

Provide technical phone support on Ronan Measurements Product lines. 

 

Making repair in the field at customer sites.   

 

Understands the basic processes/operations in refineries, chemical plants, and other heavy 

industries                                                               

 

Main travel will be within the the domestic USA. Travel is possible international 

 

Service Tech will report to the Measurement Division in Florence, KY 

 

Understand, follow, and enforce all established safety, health, quality and company policies and 

procedures.  

 

Work with Engineering, field service, production and the sales department to provide customer 

support. 

 

2+ years of electronic engineering and leadership skills. Strong verbal and written skills. Strong 

electronic skills and knowledge of electronics schematics, wiring interconnects drawings, skilled 

with using multimeters, oscilloscopes, electronics assembly, quality control. Understands how 

to troubleshot electronics.  

The preferred candidate should have experience in electronic manufacturing and 

instrumentation. 

 

Understanding of 4‐20 mA outputs, communications protocols, HART Foundation, Foundation 

Fieldbus, RS232, RS485. Analog input signals and pulse signals.
