Software Test/Biomed Co-op
NOTE: This position runs from January 2023 thru June 2023. You must be enrolled in a 4yr degree program or MS degree program at the start of the Co-op in order to be considered for the position.
Job Summary:
ZOLL Medical Corporation is committed to developing technologies that help advance the practice of resuscitation. With products for pacing, defibrillation, circulation, ventilation, and fluid resuscitation, ZOLL provides a comprehensive set of technologies that can help clinicians, EMS professionals, and lay rescuers resuscitate sudden cardiac arrest or trauma victims. ZOLL also designs and markets software that automates the documentation and management of both clinical and non-clinical data.
This position reports to the Manager, Design Quality Assurance (DQA) and provides validation execution and results tracking for assigned projects in R&D. The DQA Co-op will conduct functional testing on all ZOLL deliverables, from stand-alone code to complete products and systems.
Essential Functions:
- Perform all testing as assigned
- Identifying, reporting, and following up on test failures and observed defects
- Work with the product development teams to isolate failure modes and capture methods to reproduce product problems
Skills Requirements:
- 0-1+ years’ experience testing software in a product development environment or equivalent
- Medical device experience a plus
- Proficient with MS/Office, demonstrated ability to learn and use software engineering tools and applications in MS Windows and Linux environments
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
- Pursuing a BS in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
