Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME)
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not manage.
Work Environment
This job operates in a shop floor environment and a professional manufacturing office. This role routinely uses hand tools, machinery, measurement equipment, and standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is an intern position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This position will work based on the availability of class room hours.
Travel
No travel required. Travel may be offered.
Required Education, Skills and Experience
Pursuing or acquired Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a technical field.
At least one year of working experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization, but not required.
Advanced mathematics, blue print reading, cad modeling, and mechanical acumen such as welding, plumbing, and auto repairs are all beneficial.
Manufacturing experience is a plus.
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Effective written and verbal communications skills.
Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently.
Proven record for delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate behaviors that align with the organization's desired culture and values.
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills, and sound judgment.
Strong business acumen and ability to interface effectively with all levels within the plant environment.
High energy level and strong work ethic.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work well with all cultures and beliefs.
Preferred Education
A minimum of 1 year towards a technical degree; 3 years preferred.
