Industrial Engineer (Warehouse Management System), Manager

Are you a Warehouse Management Geek who can help us figure out how we distribute the freshest produce to organic markets, food co-ops and independent retailers? Your track record with leveraging WMS software and Industrial Engineering practices to operate safely and efficiently can make the difference. Our Warehouse team is growing, and we are looking for people who strive for excellence and are passionate about produce.

What you get to do
  • Re-engineer warehouse slotting and pick configuration to improve work safety, associate experience and cost savings
  • Engage team through goal setting and coach to exceed performance metrics
  • Champion work safety, food safety, and continuous improvement for warehouse operations
  • Effectively delegate and communicate workload plans, goals, and results
  • Identify opportunities, perform root cause analysis and design solutions to streamline and improve processes
  • Develop and mentor Planners on new skills and long term career development

What you bring
  • Experience implementing Industrial Engineering processes such time studies, pick paths, etc.
  • Multiple years of experience with WMS, preferably Blue Yonder
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt preferred
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop, coach, and train others with strong interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and make sound decisions and have attention to detail
  • Broad based computer skills, with prior experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system preferred
