Position Title: Civil Engineer I
Position Status: Full-Time
Halle’s Engineering & Design, LLC (HE&D) is a full-service civil engineering design firm providing services to public and private-sector clients in the areas of transportation, water/wastewater, and site design. HE&D is looking for an entry-level civil engineer as we grow within Northeast Ohio!
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
2. Ohio Engineer in Training (FE) (May pursue after successfully joining firm)
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Reliable transportation and current driver’s license
5. Committed to safety and delivering a quality product
Position Location: Various locations for field assignments. Combination Virtual Home Office and Akron Office for office assignments.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
1. As an entry level civil engineer, training assignments may be given in any/all markets including transportation, water/wastewater, and site design.
2. Field assignments may include various types of data collection and/or survey.
3. Assist in the preparation of preliminary studies and estimates.
4. Assist in perform various design calculations and quantity takeoffs.
5. Assist in the preparation of construction drawings using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D.
6. Assist in the preparation of general notes and specifications.
7. Assist in the preparation of written reports.
8. Attend and participate in meetings with Senior company staff with clients and partners to discuss projects and deliverables.
9. Work independently and collaboratively in teams.
10. Assist in general office duties as requested.
Salary is competitive based on years of service, expertise/capabilities, and specific project experience.
