Warranty Claims Section Manager

Maxxis International, the U.S. division of a global tire manufacturer headquartered in Suwanee, GA, has a challenging opportunity for a Warranty Claims Section Manager at Maxxis Technology Center. Responsibilities:
  • Participate and support RE and OE market product quality related issues
  • Conduct quality design reviews that are data driven and use analytical tools and problem solving techniques {e.g. Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA), 5-Why Analysis, Ishakawa (Fishbone) Diagram, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis}
  • Provide technical expertise, training, facilitation and tools to promote continuous improvement efforts across all departments as well as with customers.
  • Improve reliability of new product development processes
  • Maintain company quality standards
  • Review products, processes and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made
  • Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the site managers and coordinate all quality-related correspondence with the development team
  • Review warranty claims tire inspection reports, compensation reports, and warranty claim packets before issuing to customers
  • Review NA Warranty related monthly year to date report, monthly factory report, and quarterly factory reports for automotive, ATV, MC, and bicycle tire products.
  • Manage, assist, and support employees in the Warranty Claims department
  • Update the warranty claims process status sheets in SAP
 
Competencies:
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
  • Report writing, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills required
  • Knowledge of lab quality assurance procedures and practices required

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years tire related experience required
  • BS/MS degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical engineering preferred (not required)
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role preferred
  • 3+ years of quality and/or warranty claims experience preferred
  • Statistical Data analysis experience preferred
