Mechanical Engineer - Healthcare

Job Summary
Help us create the hospital of the future. Work day to day with hospital/healthcare facility engineers evaluating, analyzing, troubleshooting, commissioning mechanical systems through a data lens to help our clients solve "Their Problems". Leveraging data with a focus on optimization, efficiency, maintainability, decarbonization and sustainability to provide real world solutions.

Responsibilities include
  • Work daily side by side with healthcare/hospital facility engineers
  • Support the digital transformation of the healthcare facility relative to mechanical systems and operations
  • Design and peer review for new construction and existing mechanical systems
  • Develop scope of work and preliminary design documents including basis of design narratives, flow diagrams, plans and sections, details, equipment schedules, and calculations
  • Provide a holistic approach to facility condition assessments, system evaluation, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and recommend solutions and energy conservation measure opportunities.
  • Support the analytics team in the development of enhanced data gathering, interpretation and visualization skills to analyze HVAC system operations and performance data

Qualifications and Experience
  • HVAC design and/or operations in a healthcare/hospital facility required
  • Bachelor or post graduate Degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 5-7 years of mechanical engineering or equivalent experience (post education) in the healthcare/hospital field
  • Working knowledge and design experience with hospital mechanical and plumbing systems
  • Experience working in healthcare/hospital environments
  • Knowledge of healthcare and hospital codes and standards
  • Mechanical Engineering PE in the State of Pennsylvania (or the ability to get licensed)
  • Plan, lead and manage, organize and communicate with team members and clients
  • Professional attitude and commitment to high quality work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • CHC and/or CHFM certification preferred
  • Knowledge of energy analysis and load calculations in compliance with local energy codes and ASHRAE 90.1 and calculate energy savings and the expected payback period

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time exempt position. Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience and location. Benefits include Healthcare, Dental, Vision, 401K with 4% company match, an innovative and flexible self-directed vacation policy and a company cell phone plan. Candidate must be a US citizen or have a H1B Visa. Candidate will be subject to a background check.
