We are currently seeking to fill multiple Temporary Field Technician positions.
Job Type: Temporary, Non-Exempt
Start Date: May 2022
End Date: December 2022
Compensation: $18-20/hour, depending on experience
Travel: Up to 75% throughout the midwest United States
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in field crop research.
- Ability to collect field data in an organized, neat, and professional manner
Required Skills:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality; if hired, candidates must sign a non-disclosure agreement.
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Experience with Google Suite is preferred but not required
- General familiarity with data collection processes and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues in the field
- Preference will be given to candidates who have farm or field research experience and/or educational credentials in an agronomic or engineering field.
- Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to do physical work in outdoor environments, e.g. collecting soil samples, loading and unloading equipment.
- Ability to lift > 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate computers and electronic devices.
