Setting new standards for industrial process automation solutions in the metropolitan New York City tristate area, Control Associates, Inc. is a premier provider of process automation systems, valves, measurement, pressure management, asset reliability and data management solutions. We are looking to hire an Inside Sales Engineer to work within our Final Control group, based at our headquarters in Allendale, NJ. 
 
Since 1933, Control Associates along with its global process automation business partner, Emerson Process Management (parent company of Fisher Controls), specializes in supporting the process control equipment and service needs of the following industries: Biotech, Chemical, Food & Beverage, HVAC, Hydrocarbon Processing, Natural Gas Distribution & Transmission, Oil Refining, Pharmaceutical, Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, Water & Wastewater Treatment
 
Role:
Our Inside Sales Engineers will possess an ability to work in a team environment with our Account Managers and Sales Associates to support the process controls product and service needs of our customers.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibility for the overall internal management of the customer account relationship for the sale of control valves, regulators, valves automation products, instrument & valves services, and process automation solutions to our customers.
  • Be the primary inside contact for the account team, respond to customer requests for quotations and information, prepare quotations, offer trouble shooting guidance as required, offer solutions, and do quotation follow up.
  • Review customer’s specifications, technical requirements and commercial terms and conditions and complete the application engineering required to select a control valve, regulator, or valve automation product or service offering and generate a quotation.
  • Review customer purchase orders as required for compliance to our quotation and communicate and resolve any discrepancies between the purchase order and the quotation with the customer as required.
 Required:
·      Bachelor of Science degree required, preferably in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or chemical engineering.
·      Experience in controls engineering or valve and instrument specification/sales is strongly preferred.
·      Experience handling multiple customers or priorities is preferred. 
·      Successful applicants for this position must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and be fully vaccinated or have a qualifying exemption pursuant to Control Associates' interactive process. Proof of vaccination is required.
