Engineering Intern - Cleveland Manufacturing

Position Summary
The Engineering intern will work with the site manufacturing engineers and technical teams by supporting key projects. The Intern may assist with the evaluation of production equipment, capital installations and establishing target rates.  The intern may assist with MOC (management of change) process and documentation as new equipment, and operating procedures are introduced.   The intern will be a high energy, assertive self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving tools. The intern should also have good written, verbal, and digital communication skills, be detail-oriented and be eager to work in both production, lab, and office environments.
Position Responsibilities
Production Equipment analysis for continuous improvement
Developing drawings and specifications for equipment or layouts
Investigation of plant engineering processes and techniques
Special projects as identified by the Engineering team which would be mechanical/process oriented with the possibility of electrical (controls) exposure
Knowledge and Experience
Required
Microsoft Office Suite - proficient user, emphasis on Excel (Minitab is a plus)
Interest in manufacturing process design, material flow, production equipment, work methods, and processes (mechanical aptitude/some hands-on experience is a plus)
Ability to work within a cross functional, multi-cultural team
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and organize work efficiently
Process oriented thinker
Education and Certification
Required
Actively enrolled as a junior or higher in ABET accredited college engineering program.
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Will also consider Chemical, Industrial, Electrical and general engineering majors.
