Sales Engineering Intern

Setting new standards for industrial process automation solutions in the metropolitan New York City tristate area, Control Associates, Inc. is a premier provider of process automation systems, valves, measurement, pressure management, asset reliability and data management solutions. We are looking to hire a Sales Engineering Intern to work within our Final Control Sales group, based at our headquarters in Allendale.
 
Since 1933, Control Associates along with its global process automation business partner, Emerson, specializes in supporting the process control equipment and service needs of the following industries: Air Separation, Biotech, Chemical, Food & Beverage, HVAC, Hydrocarbon Processing, Natural Gas Distribution & Transmission, Oil Refining Pharmaceutical, Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, Water & Wastewater Treatment
We are searching for an intern in our Final Control Sales group to assist with compiling data and working within our systems to improve our overall business operations.
Specific responsibilities will include the following:
  • Gather sales data by meeting with Account Managers, compiling and recording their feedback, assessing data from the Lifecycle Services portal, and communicating summarized data back.
  • Assist with compiling data used for our Growth Reviews and Account Management changes.
  • Accurately enter Data into our proprietary systems, and create and generate reports based on Senior Management requirements
  • S/He is required to work onsite at our Allendale, NJ Headquarters, for 15 to 20 hour per week, during the professional business day, (8am-5pm).
  • Complete a presentation at the end of internship on a topic selected by Vice-President related to work completed during internship.
Prerequisites:
  • Currently participates in an undergraduate or graduate program with or above the required GPA, business concentration preferred.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications is required. Prior experience in a customer facing position is helpful.
  • S/He will interact regularly with co-workers and potentially some end clients, thus strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to be a clear communicator is required.
  • S/He must also have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Successful applicants for this position must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and be fully vaccinated or have a qualifying exemption pursuant to Control Associates' interactive process. Proof of vaccination is required.
Please note that housing is not provided for this internship.
