Job Description - Laboratory Technologist
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
Preferred:
- Experience working with LC-MS/MS instrumentation.
- Experience working with enzymatic immunoassay instrumentation.
- Experience in analyzing data, performing wet chemistry experiments, sample preparation and using general laboratory equipment (e.g. pH meter, analytical pipettes, etc.).
RESPONSIBILITIES
General Technical Responsibilities
- Testing may include highly skilled manual techniques or automated testing using sophisticated instrumentation.
- Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: instrument operation and maintenance, troubleshooting assays, evaluating tests for accuracy, assisting with interpreting results, and operational support activities to optimize testing.
- Responsible for the preparation of laboratory reagents as needed for testing.
- Must strictly adhere to safety protocols to work with infectious specimens, chemicals and other hazards.
- Must be capable of producing accurate results under time constraints, multi-tasking, and performing in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Must possess good communication skills and be able to work closely with others.
- Must be capable of paying close attention to detail in all responsibilities, including proper controlled document handling, chain of custody documentation, and good lab practice.
Professionalism
- Testing personnel must follow directions of production manager, laboratory supervisor, and laboratory director.
- Must adhere to all practice policies, including but not limited to scope of practice, attendance, confidentiality, dress code, and use of personal time.
- Must be a team player and always strive to create a positive work environment.

Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00pm to 1:30pm

Pay: From $19.80 per hour
