Part-time opportunity in OSU laboratory (immunology/cancer/COVID-19)

The successful applicant will work part-time in a research laboratory. There are 2 positions. One will be more laboratory-based and involve performing experiments, while the other more administrative. Applicants can choose between these and or can choose a hybrid job position.  We would also consider an applicant with math/computer skills for alternate projects.

The laboratory is focused on basic and translational approaches for the immune-based therapies and in addition to cancer resaerch, since March 2020 we have been focused on COVID-19 research. Interested students can be involved in a wide range of activities including: 1) learning about and helping conduct experiments with senior members of the laboratory, 2) helping ensure the supply of common laboratory reagents, 3) attending research presentations with clinicians, scientists, support staff, students, 4) keeping a laboratory notebook, 5) presenting at lab meetings, and 6) more. For the successful and motivated student, there is opportunity for an individual research project, working for academic credit (or salary), and making research presentations/attending local OSU cancer research meetings or related activities.

There are no specific requirements, but we are looking for smart, motivated, and reliable individuals. Please indicate your GPA in your cover letter, briefly outline your career goals, and include any other relevant information. See specific instructions for submission.

It is expected applicants will commit at least 15-20 hours per week for this position.
