Industrial Engineer
Analyze opportunities and develop methodologies to minimize cost, improve labor productivity, and improve equipment and systems utilization and serve as an unbiased analyst to the Operations Department.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)Analyze procedures, equipment, and layout to identify improvements that impact space utilization, process flow, and worker/driver productivity.
- Assist in developing and implementing the design and justification of new equipment to improve processes.
- Perform time studies as necessary based upon new product introduction or updated procedural changes and use the data collected to update labor standards.
- Analyze processes to calculate operating expenses to accurately determine cost-to-serve. Develop tools to evaluate product level profitability.
- Assist in developing and reporting performance measures for all levels to use in monitoring store level processes.
- Monitor and report labor standards using time study and time measurement tools.
- Review implementation strategies whenever procedural changes or new items are being introduced in the test stores and confirm store level execution of the strategies.
- Assist with the efficient implementation of other assigned projects.
