LM Engineering is a structural engineering firm that specializes in structural design of all types of buildings. We collaborate with architects, developers and building contractors.
Qualifications:
BS in civil engineering with emphasis on structural
2 to 4 years of related experience in the building and construction field.
Able to legally work in the US.
FE certification a plus
Duties:
1. Review structural design based on ASCE 7, NDS, ACI, IBC and other structural building codes.
2. Perform analysis using a structural modeling software. TEKLA or Risa 3D a plus.
3. Design and analysis of wood, steel and concrete framing systems.
4. Design a variety of foundation systems based on geotechnical recommendations.
5. Collect structural framing and foundation information during site visits.
6. Review shop concrete, steel and wood truss shop drawings.
7. Coordinate with architects and other disciplines.
8. Manage a project from start to finish.
9. Develop drawing sheets in coordination with drafting technicians.
10. Prepare structural assessment reports.
Requirements:
1. Willing to learn new things.
2. Proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT.
3. Proficient in structural modeling software.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Works well with others.
6. Must have transportation and a valid driver’s license.
7. Proficient in MS Office Suites.
