Job Responsibilities
  • Working with Leaders and Commodity Managers, develop sourcing strategies including market assessment, development/evaluation of strategic options, and develop negotiation strategies.
  • Leading and managing global strategic metrics.
  • Understands Hexion’s commodities, current and potential providers of those commodities, market trends and dynamics, and using this understanding to assist Leaders and Commodity Managers with ways to leverage suppliers, create value and achieve competitive advantage.
  • Participate in the development and planning of commodity negotiations, including negotiation/contract timing, and decision trees consistent with strategic plans.
  • Evaluate supplier price proposals (including complex formulas, index and spot mechanisms), participate and play an active role in supplier meetings and negotiations.
  • Opportunity to manage a commodity set up to $20 million in spend.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or other related disciplines or bachelor’s degree in one of the above areas with five or more years of experience in procurement, supply chain, engineering or other commercial experience.
  • Knowledge of IT systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools
