Sales Agronomist Intern

The Technical Sales Field Intern will be exposed to on field trial developments and will play a pivotal role in data gathering, reporting, testing, and monitoring trial applications. The intern will be assigned to a Territory Sales Manager
This is a full-time summer internship; a state Driver’s License is required. Students preparing to graduate or graduating between December 2021 and May 2022 are encouraged to apply.
Location: West Iowa, Central Iowa, Kansas City, Eastern Illinois, Western Indiana


Essential Duties:
  • Partner with local dealers to promote Valagro product
  • Support the relationship with growers
  • Manage group presentations to support technical training
  • Responsible for setting up demo trials in partnership with the Technical Sales Manager
  • Carry out to yield 15-20 on field demo trials, test, and monitor progress
  • Schedule field trips to collect plant and soil samples
  • Develop field report analysis based on data collected
  • Follow up with the grower, collect feedback
  • Support agriculture business, chemical, fertilizer shows/events
  • Responsible for delivering and assisting with product application
  • Educate growers on nutritional solutions and product application as needed
