You will be responsible for working the interface between R&D and manufacturing.  

As a Materials & Plastics Engineer, you will:

You will be responsible for designing, installing and qualifying equipment, materials, and/or processes and for technical mastery to deliver initiatives successfully to the market; ensuring “end to end” supply chain continuity; and delivering cost and cash savings to the business.
    * Initiative Delivery: Process and design validation and rollout of new products, and changes to existing products, with excellence.
    * Supply assurance: Proactive definition and qualification of materials, supply and formulas. Leadership role to resolve supply and production issues and execution of risk mitigation strategies to protect the business.
    * Improving Gross Margin through cost savings
    * Leading Materials Validation
    * Managing both technical and physical scope of molding equipment during the complete design, manufacture, debug and implementation and commissioning phases both at vendors and receiving sites globally with potential extensive travel.
    * Generating detailed functional specifications which includes technology search, decision matrix assessment and making recommendations on the best value option.

Technical Mastery: You should have a strong technical background and/or curiosity to troubleshoot hard problems and develop new solutions for materials and process technologies with knowledge of manufacturing processes, i.e. Injection molding, automation and robotics..

Project Management: Developing and following project plans including detailed milestone setting and timeline generation to ensure key milestones are met in line with overall program timings. Effectively manage project communications with all levels of our internal organization and externally with global suppliers and manufacturing sites/customers.

Builds Diverse and Collaborative Relationships: Development of relationships will be critical to your success in supporting the business. Participating in and leading detailed peer and customer design reviews ensuring that proposed solutions meet with Moulding technical standards including platforming standards. You’ll be working with Manufacturing Leaders, Suppliers, Research & Development and other Engineering counterparts.

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED: 
    * BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Polymer/Plastics Engineering, and Materials Science. 
    * These positions are entry-level with up to 4 years work experience.
