Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support our manufacturing facility in Athens, GA. You will be responsible for the overall product line quality for a product line in our facility, focusing on product & process reliability. The QE partners with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing functions to continuously improve the performance of products and processes working with the Operations and Service Teams. 

Responsibilities include:

  • You will be responsible for assuring that the manufacturing process output quality level continues to have year over year positive impact on PPM metrics.
  • Conducts Process Certification, Product and Process Qualification Audits.
  • Daily plant manufacturing support for defect resolution, test-related failures, and the management of non-conforming material.
  • Your role is as an integral team member of the Operations Product Line team.
  • Investigates and resolves reported supplier-related manufacturing issues working closely with Supplier Quality Engineering counterpart. 
  • Lead QCPC team for identified continuous improvement projects to improve product first pass yield, assembly turnbacks, and customer complaints.  
  • Be involved in addressing field complaints working with the field support engineering. 
  • Responsible for monthly reporting duties.
  • Observe and implement product and process quality improvements

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Quality or Engineering discipline
 1 -3 years of experience. 

Experience / Qualifications

The position requires someone with technical skills commensurate with the product line being handled and administrative/management skills to take various presentation and reporting requirements. You will require attention to detail and work on his/her initiative with a dedicated strategic approach to challenges.
