Engineering Supervisor
The Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) is looking for a licensed professional engineer to lead and supervise a 12-person interdisciplinary team of certified technicians, special inspectors, and geotechnical engineers at our Materials Testing Laboratory.
The Engineering Supervisor will provide technical direction to the Materials Testing Lab (MTL) within the Bureau of Environmental Services Engineering Services Group. This position will plan, organize, integrate, and direct the activities of the division, including supervising and managing 12 permanent staff and 3-5 contract employees; and will also develop work plans and strategies to achieve objectives and meet performance standards that align with bureau and city requirements and goals. The Engineering Supervisor will perform technical review of in-house engineering (geotechnical and pipe), design engineering (design reviews and services) and construction engineering (review of submittals and construction documents,) and perform geotechnical engineering for various bureaus.
