Pharmacy Technician, Monroe, MI

The Inpatient Pharmacy Department is Joint Commission Certified for Medication Compounding and provides pharmaceutical services to all inpatients as well as chemotherapy and infusion services to outpatients. The pharmacy is staffed 24/7 and participates in daily ICU rounding, patient education, pharmacokinetic monitoring and other clinical services.
Position Summary:
Under supervision of registered a pharmacist and according to established policies and procedures, the Pharmacy Technician assists in preparing and dispensing of prescription items, as well as assisting for over the counter purchases, maintaining neatness in the pharmacy department, and other duties involved in daily operations of the pharmacy.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan & Nationally Certified (PTCB)</li>
  • Ability to read and accurately post medication orders in patient profiles and other records
  • Arithmetic ability to calculate charges, inventories, dosages, make change, etc.
  • Basic keyboard knowledge and computer skills for accurate data input
