POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a new and exciting engineering opportunity with a focus on automation in the boat building industry. The ideal individual will be self-motivated, able to work well with others, and have the ability to utilize both technology and engineering principles to overcome challenging obstacles
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (NOT EXHAUSTIVE):

  • Automated equipment troubleshooting and support
  • Robotic programming
  • Current model adjustments to maintain quality expectations
  • New model programming
  • Participate in new product development
  • Includes new equipment to support manufacturing
  • Act as liaison between production and automation
  • Stay up to date on new processes and technology
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

       Minimum Degree Required: None Required 
       Preferred Degree: B.S. Engineering or Mechatronics
       Certificate(s) or License(s): None Required
       Experience:

  • Engineering degree with 2-3 years of experience
  • Technical degree with 3-5 years of experience
  • Relevant skillset 5-7 years of experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
(List the MINIMUM knowledge, skills and ability required to perform the essential functions of the position):

  • Experience working with industrial control systems and/or robotics
  • Motoman robotics, Rockwell PLC, Fronius welding equipment preferred
  • Understanding of manufacturing techniques
  • Welding, Cutting, bending, joining, etc.
  • Aluminum applications preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft office software suite
  • Basic understanding of GD&T
  • CAD experience (2D and 3D preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to both lead projects and to work within a team
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 
Occasional travel will be required for training and new equipment buyoff activities. Some of this travel will be over/multi night. Overnight travel time estimated at less than 10% but could be slightly higher if significant offsite training is needed.
