Analyst-Product Material Compliance

Microchip is seeking an analyst to support the company-wide topics supported by Microchip’s product material compliant (PMC) program. This position will be responsible for conducting product and supply-chain analysis in support of Microchip’s PMC-aligned disclosure activity and auditing processes. In support of the job responsibilities of this position, regular coordination with internal functions/stakeholders, external supply chain partners, and third-entity service providers is required. This position requires an individual that is detail oriented and able to effectively ingest, analyze, synthesize, and disseminate data from multiple sources.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent major.
In lieu of academic degree, minimum 2 years of experience with social and environmental auditing, CAMDS/IMDS reporting, or research analysis will be considered
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (focus on Excel) and ability to learn industry-specific applications
Aptitude to evolve in an international environment
Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills
Ability to work autonomously, with minimal direction, self-motivated, and results-driven
Ability to work within all levels of an organization to ensure compliance
 
Duties Include:
Assist with due diligence reviews in support of material content declarations
Conduct research and report on updates to PMC-aligned regulations, industry best practices, and certification programs
Liaise with supply-chain partners to obtain PMC-aligned data on product material content
Provide training to internal and external stakeholders on materials sustainability data collection processes and objectives
Support Microchip’s disclosures aligned to Product Material Compliance, Responsible Mineral Sourcing, and Sustainability
