Product Design Engineer

Overview: The primary duty of this position is to support the production system. Designing products, managing engineering changes, and being the liaison to the production and sales teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Work closely with Sales, Customers, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production

·        Design custom hydraulic cylinders that solve complex challenges for our customers.

·        Benchmark and reverse engineering opportunities with competitive products

·        Update current product designs to meet customer needs and meet internal standards

·        Develop Bill of Materials, customer drawings, manufacturing drawings, and other related engineering documents

·        Devise and conduct design validation testing

·        Participate in customer visits, sales meetings, and events as requested

·        Provide technical support to sales, customer service and customers

·        Provide technical in the field assistance when needed

·        Serve as the technical point of contact for product solutions

·        Assist manufacturing in designing requirements to facilitate production

·        Driven to problem solving – able to take challenges and opportunities to find new solutions

·        Customer driven attitude – look for ways to service and satisfy internal and external customers

·        Team player – able to work with cross-functional teams across the organization

·        Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

·        Manufacturing experience preferred

·        Experience with machined and welded components preferred

·        Proficient in 2D and 3D modeling software - Solid Works experience preferred

·        Must be self-motivated and have a strong attention to detail
