We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join CIMON Inc to solve interesting and complex problems in the world of automation.

Backend Software Engineer

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
  • Full-time position
  • Days and typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Requirements:
  • Strong grasp of a backend framework such as Django and Node.js
  • Demonstrated ability to pick up new technologies when needed, and deep functional expertise in Ecommerce, Web Systems Architecture, DNS Protocols, SSH, User Interface Design, and Object-Oriented Programming
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written, to discuss and understand requirements from other teams
  • Proven understanding of web security and how it applies to APIs, Ecommerce solutions, Passwords, etc.
  • Can write well-written, testable, and efficient code and can follow modern and traditional coding practices, and use good development practices
  • Excellent data and time management skills, attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy, and ability to create and maintain effective, well-written, and easily understood documentation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with WordPress and Shopify is a plus
  • Social media and email marketing experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Hubspot, Zendesk, and Confluence is a plus
  • Fluency in other languages is a plus

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain company website built with WordPress and prioritize needs to improve site performance and enhance the user experience
  • Directly work with company leaders and upper management, and provide feedback and new ideas for solutions to every problem that comes up
  • Regularly communicate with colleagues from the graphic design, marketing, and order management team
  • Develop new features such as user login, forum, support, and ticketing systems by utilizing available WordPress plugins and other frameworks
  • Implement an e-commerce store with high-level platforms such as Shopify and bring it online over the shortest time possible
  • Build service such as product lookup and tracking for internal use with backend frameworks such as Django and Node.js
