2021 Summer Internship: Transmission & Distribution: Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical)

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright! 
  • Support the operation & maintenance of the Distribution Management System devices.
  • Collaborate/support other engineers in equipment data analysis, review of equipment supplier technical documentation and assist in root cause analysis support.
  • Assist with developing quality metrics, process improvements, process re-design, mapping & documentation, asset record correction work coordination.
  • Support capital projects that can include replacing equipment inside a substation or installing new equipment. Support emergency replacement projects.

Qualifications

The essentials 
  • Be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or closely related field at an accredited institution with a graduation date of December 2021 or later. 


  • The preferred  
  • GPA 2.8 or higher 
  • Have experience using MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 
  • Power Systems Engineering Experience
  • Civil/Structural engineering Design
  • Experience with Microsoft Access, SharePoint, Visio, and SAP 
  • Previous coursework or experience with Python, VBA, R, or SQL 
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, PSPICE, LTSPICE, or MATLAB 
 
 
You should know 
  • The internship has a start date of May/June 2021 and end date of August/September 2021 
  • Interns will have the opportunity to participate in intern mixers, executive speaker series, community volunteer events, and cross-company networking 
  • Official transcripts will be verified during the on-boarding process 
  • We require you to be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship
