Research Associate- Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics

The Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Department at Genentech is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist in research projects focused on the roles of drug metabolizing enzymes and transporters in the disposition of drugs in the PK/Transport group. Primary responsibilities include maintaining cell culture, designing and conducting in vitro experiments, performance of liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry, and routine data analysis.

Qualified candidates should possess a B.A./B.S. or M.S. degree in biological sciences or related discipline with 0-3 years of research experience. Tissue culture proficiency is required. Experience with molecular biology techniques is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present data in group meetings are highly desirable.

The successful candidate must be detail oriented, highly organized, independent, and a self-starter. The person must be able to work in a team environment, collaborate with multiple researchers on various aspects of the research projects, and meet timelines efficiently and productively.
