Control Systems Site Engineer

 Setting new standards for industrial process automation solutions in the metropolitan New York City tri-state area, Control Associates, Inc. is a major provider of industrial process control systems, control valves, regulators, process instrumentation, flow computers, valve automation and the associated engineering and technical support services.
Established in 1933, Control Associates along with its global process automation business partner, Emerson Process Management (parent company of Fisher Controls), specializes in supporting the process control equipment and service needs of the following industries: Air Separation, Biotech, Chemical, Food & Beverage, HVAC, Hydrocarbon Processing, Natural Gas Distribution & Transmission, Oil Refining Pharmaceutical, Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, Water & Wastewater Treatment.
We are looking to hire Control Systems Site Engineer to work at a customer site in Rahway, NJ.
Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Assist the Lead/Supervising Engineer with all aspects of site systems implementation and maintenance.
  • Work with internal and external teams to bring new systems online into site infrastructure: network connectivity, data collection, code modification, documentation.
  • Ensure systems are functioning per design and are properly maintained and backed up.
  • Perform system and network setups, commissioning, upgrades, and installation. Load system software for company supplied systems.
  • Troubleshoot control system network issues both on and offsite to determine root cause of communication, network operating systems and/or control problems.
  • Follow safety, GMP, and good documentation practices in all work
  • Create/modify Change management and lifecycle documentation
Prerequisites:  
Bachelors of Science degree, in an Engineering discipline required; Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Chemical is preferred. Excellent computer skills required. Experience in software programming, hardware troubleshooting, operating systems and networking is preferred. Interest in process control, systems integration and the pharmaceutical industry is required.
S/he will interact regularly with customers and co-workers, thus strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be a clear communicator is required. S/he must also have excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to travel as needed both in and out of the territory, including internationally, is required.

Training: Customer site specific safety and GMP compliance training will be provided. Rockwell Logix and Siemens WinCC OA training will be provided.
