Job Title: SDS Industrial Engineer
 
Location: Sheetz Distribution Services - Claysburg, PA
 
 
 PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
Analyze opportunities and develop methodologies to minimize cost, improve labor productivity, and improve equipment and systems utilization and serve as an unbiased analyst to Sheetz Distribution Services.
 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)
1.   Analyze procedures, equipment, layout, and distribution network design to identify improvements that impact space and equipment utilization, process flow, inventory management, and worker/driver productivity. Assist in developing and implementing the design and justification of new equipment or facilities to improve processes.
2.   Perform analyses and time studies as necessary based upon new product introductions or updated processes and use the data collected to update standards or procedures.
3.   Analyze processes to calculate operating expenses to accurately determine cost-to-serve. Develop tools to evaluate product level profitability and supply chain efficiency.
4.   Assist in developing and reporting performance measures for all levels to use in monitoring business processes to ensure the implementation and maintenance of the most efficient supply chain possible. 
5.   Create or maintain metrics and advanced reporting to identify improvement opportunities and drive decisions.
6.   Assist with the efficient implementation of other assigned projects.
7.   Suggest and support changes to configuration and utilization of distribution management systems to enhance productivity, equipment, and facility utilization.
